Nowhere near as black as it's painted. The cans were
horrid though. Not happy they dropped the alcohol content though, even so I refuse to pay $40 a slab
for local beer. Buy 7 at a time when on special.
Hey Ben.D, Your a tool! get a life, get a taste for real beer! This "beer" your campaining for is s**t. Wake up man and smell the hops!
Well may aswell call this one a midstrength beer. Only good thing it is cheap. Beware this beer will give you server heart burn when drunk in large amounts.
Does the Job
Its a decent beer, let them tell you what they like, its still a decent beer
Has a weird after taste.. different to most beers.. does hit u quick but..
Tasteless dribble, go for Carton Dry if you must, that's got some sort of weak flavour to it at least
I would rate this no stars if this thing worked properly
this is low quality beer and would appeal to those people with taste spuds in their arse
I have being drinking carlton cold for years, since it changed for the worse the drink of choice is Boags Classic Blonde cost more about $40 better than what CUB are dishing up now.A bit light on taste alright for me
CUB I will go back if you change it back.
I have to agree - I have been drinking the old brew for years and found it to be the best beer I have ever tasted - gets colder than other beers before freezing which is very important. And then they went and ruined it. It taste bloody awful - like watered down, tastless rubbish. Home brew might be the next option. Although I have found carlton dry to be ok.
I have started a face book group against the change in Alc/Vol of Carlton Cold. If you support this please become a member so we may be able to get CUB to change it back they did this with cascade premium with size they down size cascade premium sales drop and then they changed back to 375ml. We can do this..

Damn they had the best tasting beer in the old Carlton Cold and now dropped the Alchol content to 4%. But the taste has changed. It taste likes beer thats been chilled, warmed up possibly in the sun and rechilled. Yuk. Why or why? Now in search of another!!!
One wonders whether this had something to do with the excise duty. A tax concession if kept at 4% or below?
I heard they were dropping the percentage and was appauled. This USED to be my beer of choice but have vowed never to buy it again. I wil have to switch to Carlton Draught I think
what a con! brought some on special at DANS! and took it home to enjoy only to find they had dropped the alcohol content.Should have reliesed by the change in box color. LOOKIN FOR NEW BEER.
Great beer usually at a great price. Much better than Carlton draught, that s**t smells like vomit.
Worth the $30 a case in my opinion. Good for getting someone started on beer.
Don't know what they did with the original recipe but the current one is c**p, this beer should head the way of Ballarat Bitter and disappear
No good at all, no wonder it is getting cheaper while other beers are becoming more expensive.
0 stars.
-2.5 stars for clear bottle
-2.5 stars for bubblegum after taste
RUBBISH!
Not a bad drop for a good price - a lot more expensive beers out there in smaller bottles to waste your money on - a Coldie it is mate!!!!!!!
Man this stuff is strong. i just sank 46 of these bad boys and im actually f**ked.... man im never drinkin again
It's beer. It gets you drunk. Not my first choice as far as beers go, but if it's cheap I might get it
CUB, please don't continue to defame your own name by selling this crud.
The product should be banned or restricted to the young-uns and sold at a discounted rate.
Guaranteed headache the next day if you can push yourself to consume enough of the s#@t. This could only occur when partying at an event where the grog has been supplied.
My new theory on this is that CUB are pissing themselves about the fact they are still selling any of this, regardless of the price!
this beer has been the best beer i have had for a long time. and to all the yuppi beer drinkers that put s**t on it,its seems you taste s**t cause your head is up your ass
An aussie beer for australians. Knocked down by many but is always good and not too expensive
I swear by this beer and have converted many (i.e. about 5 or 6) fellow drinkers to it.
It is my lager of choice for taste and value for money - you can always find it somewhere for $30/slab or so and it is virtually hangover-proof.
All the whingers here b***hing about it either didn't drink it cold enough or else they are fancy-beer wankers. True enough the tinnies were rubbish but they are long gone and only the quality remains.
Carlton Cold is P**ckin great. Excels in price, taste and strength. One of the beers that I have never had a hangover and have knocked back a carton in one night - no probs getting straight back into it the next day either.
Honestly, you may as well be drinking water. Tastes the same and is a h**l of a lot cheaper!
I dont mind it. The original beer for the cordial mixer. Not my first choice, probably 5th or 6th in line for Aussie beers.
THANK GOD they god rid of the tinnies of these!!
I literally had to give them away.
Id take a dump on the tinnies.
Assss for the stubbies, not to bad, as the name says...
CARLTON COLD
so serve it cold
if not cold just go drink methylated spirits.
Try to ENJOI
the new carlton cold is a tasteless beer and is much akin to drinking carbonated alcoholic water. if you do not like beer but just want to get drunk then this is probably your beer. tasteless with lower alcohol content would suit someone who's tongue got burnt off in a fire and doesn't know any better. as the great man once said "shame shame shame "
weak tasting lager in a fancy bottle if on special at 25 a case iwould buy but at 42 rrp forget it
